How To Transfer Your Utilities
Utility Transfer :
Your upcoming move will require that you have the utilities transferred into/out of your name. The following phone numbers are provided for your convenience. Specify the actual ending and starting date so there is no interruption in the service. Provide moving information to utilities 2-3 weeks prior to closing.
Buyer:
Transfer utilities in your name as of possesion date. Provide new address and sellers name.
Seller:
If you are ending service, don't disconnect the service. Order reading of service, give provider buyers name for new service and date of possesion. You are responsible for service through possession date. If you move prior to closing keep utilities on. Keep furnace temperature on 50 - 60 in winter to prevent freezing or winterize home.
